Every year your County Appraisal District will send you a
Notice of Valuation for houses or land that you own.
The higher the valuation, the higher your real estate taxes.
The valuation should be based on actual market conditions,
but sometimes the County unfairly increases the value. When this happens, you have a right to protest your valuation.
